It is time to curl up on the couch with a movie, a fireplace, and a good, hot chocolate. We want to share with you some hacks for the best hot chocolate.
Infuse milk

It is optional, but it can make your hot chocolate completely different. Use vanilla, cinnamon, anise, or any other of your preferred spices. Put spices in a pot with milk and bring it to a boil. Then, set aside and cover the pot with cling film. Infuse for around 2 hours.
Time to choose your favourite chocolate
Dark, white, milk chocolate, caramel, or a mix of all of them.

...and now time to chunk
Cut the chocolate into small pieces with a knife. A food processor will not give you the same result and, even though it will take some time, the result is worth it.
Turn on your hob again
Bring milk to a boil again, set aside, and pour over the chocolate pieces. Stir at the same time with a spoon. We highly recommend using 1 part chocolate to 2 parts milk (1:2), but you can choose quantities if you want a thicker hot chocolate.

Do you want something even tastier?
Add another of your preferred flavour to the hot chocolate. For instance, you can also add a couple of Werther’s Originals caramels. They will melt in the hot chocolate giving a wonderful caramel touch.

Last but not least: garnish
Decorate your hot chocolate with whipping cream and, if you want a classic choice, don’t forget to add a marshmallow.
