White rice

The most traditional rice recipe is thought to serve it as a garnish, mainly. It is very important here to stick to the rice-water ratio: for every cup of rice, add double the amount of water. You can use some oil to add flavour.

In just 10-15 minutes it will be perfectly cooked.

Whole grain rice

This rice works very well with meat and fish, and it also contains a lot of fibre.

This rice needs more water so, before bringing it to a boil, set it aside with cold water for 45 minutes. Then, cook over low heat for 40-50 minutes. And here is when you can eat your nuts and snacks.

Basmati rice

Basmati rice

Basmati rice has a long, slender grain and a distinctive fragrance when cooking it.

The water and rice ratio is the same as white rice: one cup of rice and add double the amount of water. The best way to cook it is to stir fry the rice first with some oil, making it less likely to stick together, without rinsing it. Then, add three cups of water and cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
